March was such a wonderful month. I am so happy to share it with all of you.
March 2017 Roundup
Literacy Tuesday has took an amazing turn. We reviewed some traditional vowel sounds from the Long O to the Long U and ended with the Tricky Y. The best part, however, was when we ended with movement. You your kids can learn their Letter Sounds Trough Movement.
The kids also took block play to a whole new level. They had a lot of fun playing with both the Solar System Blocks and the Constellation Blocks. It turns out when used together in a classroom, a whole new learning experience can take place. One of our students is a fan of Johanes Kepler so this turned out to be great for her.
We also had lots of amazing art supplies. From our sampler Acrylic Paint set to the double sided Markers, the kids have been engaged in art. I love the looks on their faces as they put all of their hard work into their creations. Having mix mediums is a must.
We ended March 2017 with a little geometry fun with a Geboard. So much fun at your kids fingertips. The key is to let the kids keep on creating.
For March 2017 educational pick, the kids were most drawn toward the Planet Blocks. They loved creating the solar system and asking questions. It was a pleasure talking to them naturally through play.
I would like to apologize to all of you in advance. All of the kids are having different vacation days over the next few weeks. As I would like to spend time with them when they are not tied down to school or homework, I will not be blogging regularly. I will be popping in with a post from time to time over the next 2-3 weeks. I am sorry for the inconvenience it may cause, but I love spending time with the kids. It is this bonding and time spent with the kids that help bring new ideas to Little Lady Plays.
