If you are looking to invest, grow a business or start on something new, the Startup Way might have something for you.
The Startup Way is a book written for people who have an idea. This idea can be anything from a worker with a good idea in a company, to a person on the creative team. The main issue dealt with, is what to do with the idea.
If you run a corporation, the Startup Way will show you how to look for inspiration and good ideas in every person regardless of position. If you run a small business, this book has great tips to get your ideas up and running to the next level. Whatever the case may be, it is always good to re-brand and grow in order to stay ahead when it comes to business.
I love how the Startup Way not only taught many good lessons, but the lessons were backed by stories from other companies who have tried out these methods and were greeted by success.
You really have to be innovative and read between the lines. While this book did teach me a thing or two, I felt a lot of the information was written for larger corporations or startups with money. In order to see success, you will need to take this away and see how you can apply the knowledge on a smaller scale.
My Overall Opinion
I would keep the Startup Way around. I have read stories of kids and teens who have become famous because they started a business. Just by reading this book, you can get some great pointers on how to foster the creative side and eventually take any product to market. Right now none of the kids show any interest in business, but from time to time there has been talk about a possible invention or product they want to make. The Startup Way has given me some great ideas for the future.
