Will the Courageous is about a boy who is put in a tough situation. Through this will power, he overcomes it and shares his story with the reader.
Will is a 6-year-old boy. He loves his babysitter but loves his parents even more. He looks forward to the time he spends with Nana Winnie. Everything was going fine until her nephew, Perry showed up. At first, he was fine, but Will had a funny feeling about him. Slowly it started with a tickle game, a touch, and one thing led to the next. Before he knew it, Will was a different person.
It took time, but eventually with the right help, Will was able to talk about what happened to theh police and he recieved the help he needed.
If anyone has ever violated your child in any way, the first piece of advice I can give you, stay calm. I know you want to go after the person, however, your child comes first. Let your child know he is safe. Let your child know you are there for them. If needed, let your child be in the lead. He is the one suffering. The more you are there for them, the easier the healing process can be.
Will the Courageous is a long book. If you suspect your child was abused, take this book slowly. Only read as much as your child can handle. If you are using this book to help your child talk, let him lead. If it is to much, take a break and come back. The slower you go, the faster you will get the real results.
I am sad to say that Will the Courageous is a good book. In a time when kids should feel safe and respected, some children end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you do find your child needs help, Will the Courageous is there to support your child in a time of need.
If your child needs help, we will be giving away 3 copies of Will the Courageous.
